Last year’s Golf Day was a sell out and RMFR most successful event to date. I am very proud to say, together, we raised an amazing $33,500!!!!! These funds will go directly to supporting families with a sick or injured child.
It is with great pleasure that TJL continue to strongly support this wonderful Charity Golf Day and help in keeping families close. We help out when and where we can including gift wrapping for Christmas and Mothers Day at Stocklands Forster, and we’ve had the pleasure to cook either a lunch or dinner for the beautiful families having a well earned holiday at the Retreat. It’s so touching and very special for our staff to be able to meet some of these beautiful families, knowing the hard times they have encountered and seeing how happy they are to be on a family holiday together.
We’re proud and extremely excited to be the Event Partner again this year which means that this will be our 4thyear supporting such an important and admirable charity. We’re really looking forward to making the day bigger and better.
The Family Retreat provides these families with the opportunity to take some time out together for a family holiday, quite often for the first time since their child’s diagnosis and in some cases, for the first time EVER! Whilst at the Family Retreat, they have the chance to relax, recharge and reconnect as a family away from their everyday surrounds that can still include hospitals, doctors and treatments. They stay for up to seven nights free of charge in the heart of beautiful Forster.
TJL understand the importance of ongoing support of many local businesses and individuals, including everyone involved with the Charity Golf Day, Without the support they would not be able to continue to provide so many families with this much needed and special break. By the end of 2018 they expect to see over 250 families booked into the Retreat.
With most of our TJL family having kids themselves, seeing what others go through would be unimaginable. We’re just so proud to be able to help such a wonderful charity.
