Businesses come in all shapes and sizes, so it’s important that your insurance broker understands your business and tailors the right cover for you and your business needs.
Collectively, our Forster and Taree staff have over 35 years of insurance experience. TJL works with a variety of occupations in many different sectors. From sole traders, to small and large businesses, we have the experience and knowledge to guide you through the whole insurance process.
If you need to make a claim, we make sure it’s as painless as possible and has the best opportunity to be successfully paid out by your insurer. We work hard to maximise the entitlements of your policy and liaise with assessors, repairers, solicitors and insurers to take that stress and workload away from you.
From the time you first contact TJL to notifying us of a claim, we’ll assign a dedicated member of the team to you to guide you through the process of registering a claim and providing the necessary accompanying information to your insurer. Our experience means we can answer many of the questions you’re likely to have and ensure that the insurer has all of the information they need to process your claim and make a decision as quickly as possible.
We have access to a wide range of insurers/agencies and their insurance products, which are available to protect you and your assets. Please see a summary below:
Business Insurance can provide financial cover for your business, including the premises and contents.
It will cover you against loss, damage or theft as well as against any financial loss resulting from an insured interruption to the business. The type of cover and amount will depend on the nature of your business and what areas you think are most at risk.
Protects you and your business against the financial risk of being found liable to a third party for death or injury, loss or damage of property or economic loss resulting from your negligence.
Professional Indemnity insurance was designed for professionals who provide advice or a service to their customers. It is designed to protect you against legal costs and claims for damages to third parties which may arise out of an act, omission or breach of professional duty in the course of your business.
If a mistake or omission occurs in the course of your work that results in financial loss or injury to a third party (e.g. a customer), that customer may take legal action against you to recover their losses. Professional Indemnity insurance seeks to protect both your assets and your reputation, should this occur.
If you sell, supply or deliver goods, even in the form of repair or service, you may need cover against claims of goods causing injury, death or damage. Product liability insurance covers you if any of these events happen to another business or person by the failure of your product or the product you are selling.
This section covers the loss of income and the additional increased costs of working which results from the interruption of your business caused by events covered under certain other sections of the policy.
Accident and Sickness
A more limited form of coverage if you become injured or sick, personal accident & sickness insurance will ensure you still receive a portion of your income so that you can support yourself and your family.
Covers accidental bodily injury to or death of third parties as a result of road traffic accidents. All owners of motor vehicles using public roads in Australia are required to have CTP cover taken out in the State in which their vehicles are registered.
Home & Contents
Covers domestic dwellings and contents against fire and other perils including theft and personal liability.
Protects residential property owners in the event of damage to their property by tenants.
Covers the risk of loss to ships and vessels (Marine Hull), and the risk of loss to property and goods in transit (Marine Cargo). Marine Cargo insurance is sometimes divided into Inland Marine, which covers property and goods in transit between locations without requiring sea transport and Ocean Marine, which covers property and goods subject to a sea voyage. Marine Cargo policies are issued in various forms depending on the requirement of the shipper, the shipowner, the charterer, the consignee etc.
